Here’s where Becky and I enjoyed dinner on each of our ten nights at sea. Compared to the other ships we’ve enjoyed, this dining room’s interior is unremarkable. The food and service were excellent, though. Our waiter, Eduardo, and his assistant, Guillermo, took very good care of us.
Our dinnermates were excellent company. From front to back are John and Pat, Rocky and Jackie, and Becky and I. John is a retired Air Force chaplain, and he and Pat live in Ocala, Florida. Rocky’s family has a hardware store in a rural Wyoming town bordering the Rocky Mountains. Rocky said he and his wife never need to run an air conditioner and that it gets cold at night even in the summertime.
Speaking of Eduardo and Guillermo, here they are, from left to right. Guillermo is holding Princess’s traditional dessert for the last night of a voyage, Baked Alaskan. This dessert is basically an ice cream cake that’s served ablaze. Eduardo and Guillermo are both from Mexico. On Coral’s voyage back to Alaska, she’ll dock in Mexico City, and that’s where Eduardo and Guillermo will both see their families.
This is one entrance to the elegant Wheelhouse Bar, located on Promenade Deck.
The cozy Crooner’s Bar is located on Deck 7. The Coral Princess was festooned with elegant lounges like Crooner’s. Every ship we’ve ever sailed on has obviously wanted all of its guests to be as comfortable as possible and to drink like fish.
