The Coral Princess and Celebrity’s Horizon are docked at the port of Limón, Costa Rica. Becky dragged me across the way to a straw market. At the market we purchased Costa Rican coffee for family members, a beautiful wooden sugar bowl, and a hand-painted turkey feather.
After visiting the straw market, we went on a Costa Rican jungle adventure that made me wish I had a good zoom lens. On this excursion we encountered many unique tropical species such as the small bats in this photo. They’re on the tree.
We snapped this photo of a bright green iguana as our boat motored up the river. Up on the banks you can see a pair of iguanas. Every time we visit the Caribbean, we see a lot of iguanas. They’re almost as common as frogs in the States.
This guy was having a good “scale” day and allowed me to take another photo of him.
Becky took this photo of a Snake Neck Bird drying his feathers. He kept his wings spread for a long time as though he were sunbathing.
