She rises a little higher.
Here’s a shot showing a coral reef, though I’m not sure this is part of the Cayman Wall. We saw this as soon as our sub went down. Becky says this is a far cry from The Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia.
Much to our surprise, we saw a real mermaid. What do they call the male versions of mermaids? Merbachelors?
This fish was inviting us on a tour of this shipwrecked tender that was used back in World War II. There were quite a few barnacles enjoying this iron-rich feast.
Just outside our porthole, a diver fed a few fish. The diver wore metal gloves to protect her hands from the fish’s teeth. The diver had a small propulsion device with her to help her navigate through the water. She also had a small microphone in her mask that allowed her to communicate with us in the sub.
If you’ve already swum with the stingrays, you can’t go wrong with the Atlantis Submarine excursion—unless, of course, you’ve already been here and done this.
