Today started around 7:30 when we heard lil’ man chatting from his crib. After a little Barney we headed downstairs to play with his trains. It wasn’t long before Grandpa showed up with breakfast for all of us. Grandpa rocks!
We had a big adventure today at Stone Mountain Park. Mimi, Grandpa, Max, and I went for the day and had big fun! Jaddie stayed behind because he’s still a little under the weather. We watched the Polar Express 4D. It was so cool. During the movie it snowed, the seats shook, and the sweet smell of chocolate engulfed our noses. After the movie we rode the train around the mountain. When the train blew its whistle, Max blew his Thomas the Train whistle, which he calls “Toot-Toot Pas.” It was super-cute! While at the park we visited the plantation farm. Max enjoyed chasing the goats, but I can’t say they enjoyed it much! It was so surprising that they even tolerated it, but I guess the resident goats are accustomed to wild kids.
The most fun we had was at the barn. The barn is a place where the whole family can play on slides, climbing nets, and trampoline floors. They also had a ball machine that Max really loved. You put balls into the machine and they shoot into other parts of the room. Balls were going everywhere and it was a lot of fun. We were sure Max would not ever want to leave, but he left without a fight.
Max didn’t have a nap at all today. This is the first full afternoon in Max’s whole life in which he’s missed his nap. And, believe it or not, he stayed in a good mood for most of the day. It was a little hard to settle him down when he got home because he had not seen his daddy much today and just had to play with him.
This was another great day!
