It’s been a pretty good day for us. Max awoke around 7:40 this morning and wanted to watch an Alvin & the Chipmunks Halloween video. The little fellow was still wound up with Halloween excitement. There’s little doubt that Halloween is Max’s favorite occasion. He had such a good time with Delaney, Lilianna, and Jack last night.

He had a good day at school, and Grandpa was the one who picked him up. We’d taken Granny to early voting, and we’d planned to vote, too, but the very long line caused us to rethink our plans. Granny was able to go in ahead of the others in line because she’s over seventy-five years old.

When we returned from early voting, Max, Granny, Mama, and I headed to Lenox Square so Max could ride the Pink Pig for his fifth consecutive year. We were at the mall for less than half an hour before our fun had been had and it was time to beat it back to Buford. We took Max to Mimi and Grandpa’s and then took Granny home.

They played with balls and trains, built tunnels, and had a good time. The little fellow is spending the night with them tonight.

We slept until a little past 8:00 this morning. Before we got Max ready for school, we watched a Barney video. We love Barney. He’s so sweet. Max was excited about going to school today. He said, “I go see Miss I-een.” Daddy and I both got to take lil’ fellow this morning. I took a personal day today.

While Max was at school I had breakfast with Grandpa. After breakfast I went to get lil’ fellow the Cars 2 DVD, which came out today. Daddy was unsuccessful in creating an iPad-compatible version from the retail DVD, so we finally bought another copy from the iTunes store.

I went to pick my sweet fellow up from school today. That was fun. I got to talk to his teacher, Mrs Eileen. She was sweet and brought him to the car.

After school Daddy, Max, and I headed to Lenox Square Mall to ride Macy’s Pink Pig. This was Max’s fourth year getting to ride the Pink Pig. He’s been very excited since he heard we were going. I wish time could freeze. Everything excites him and it’s so fun to watch him enjoy everything so much!

Max fell asleep on the ride home. Yesterday’s trick-or-treating wore out our lil’ Buzz Lightyear! He had a late lunch when we got home and then we both went upstairs for a nap. Lil’ fellow is still asleep and we’re about to join him.

Seven from our trick-or-treat outing on Halloween and two from Macy’s Pink Pig:

There are one or two images from Halloween that I forgot to process and include in this set. I’ll update this gallery in the next day or two.

Because Mimi and Grandpa kept Max last night and I had the day off from school, Jaddie and I got to sleep in this morning. Max went walking with Grandpa, and then the two of them went to Bojangles for breakfast. They got home just as I was getting home from voting. He played around the house until Mimi got done walking at the mall.

Then Mimi, Max, neighbor Sue, and I headed to Lenox Square Mall to ride Macy’s Pink Pig. This was Max’s third year to ride the Pink Pig, and he enjoyed it. He and Mimi rode while Sue and I watched and took plenty of pictures. Max was such a good boy the whole time we were gone. After yesterday afternoon and evening, Max’s behavior today was quite a nice surprise.

When we got home it was around 2:00, which is way past his naptime, so we quickly put him down for his nap. The lil’ fellow slept for four hours and woke up ready to rock and roll. It was dinnertime when he got up, so we had dinner together, and after dinner we played on the iPad and in the living room. Max and Daddy hung out while I got a bath. We’re in the process of going to bed in hopes of getting another good night’s rest.
