Apple billed its new iBook as an iMac to go. These banners were on display on the outer periphery of the Jacob Javits Convention Center. |
The Apple iBook was introduced at Macworld New York 99. Though it didnt ship in quantity until much later in the year, the iBook was the top-selling mobile personal computer for the last calendar quarter of the 99. |
Apple had several iBook centers like the one pictured above for the Mac faithful to enjoy. There must have been over a thousand iBooks on display. |
Pictured above is one of the lines Becky and I waited in to get our hands on Apples newest mobile machine. The wait wouldnt have been so bad if the iBook hadnt kept some attendees attention for so long. |
