After getting up and going we headed over the mountain to Pigeon Forge for a day of fun. And, boy, did we have fun! On the ride over the mountain we got to see snow. We couldn’t believe it. The ride was fun also because we got to see the mountain in a different way. We’re used to see it with fall-colored leaves, but this time of year the leaves are gone.

Once we got to Pigeon Forge it was lunchtime, so we headed to our favorite restaurant, The Old Mill. We couldn’t believe they had no wait. We’ve never had that happen. Lunch was great, and then we headed to the adjacent park for some photos. They had it decorated beautifully for Christmas.

Our next stop was The Track. We had a lot of fun riding go-carts, bumper cars, and many other fun rides. We spent more than three hours having fun at The Track.

Another stop we made was the Christmas Village. We were hoping to see Santa, but he was busy at the North Pole for the day. We enjoyed the Village’s many beautiful decorations.

After the Christmas Village we inquired about the night trolley to see Pigeon Forge’s holiday lights. We found that they were sold out for a couple of hours, so we walked to the Old Mill District for some ice cream. That’s when we got a big surprise. We saw Max’s classmate, Meghan, and her family. We all were so surprised to see each other so far from home. Max and Meghan played for a while. They were riding the trolley for the holiday lights tour, so we went back and asked to be put on standby. We were so excited to make it on the tour. Our tour was nice and gave us a lot of nifty information about Pigeon Forge. We also saw a lot of beautiful lights.

Before heading back over the mountain, we had dinner at Fuddruckers. Then we struck out for the hour-long ride back to our hotel room.

We’re all tired and ready for a good night’s rest.
